I don't want to break it or anything but I'm having a hard time finding English language material on this problem so I am just looking for a way to go here. In this pic, the safety is the square checkered tab at the rear of the bolt: Anyway, my Dad has one and somehow someone has flipped the safety to "safe" while the bolt was out of the gun, so now the bolt physically can't go back into the gun because the stock blocks it because of the position of the safety, which is now down instead of up like it's supposed to be.My question is, how do I fix this? I have tried manipulating it by hand and it won't move, it doesn't even wiggle. With the bolt in, you can flip it up and down. Keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you are ready to fire. Never point a firearm at anything you do not intend to shoot.
So I don't know how it got like this but it was working before so he didn't buy it like this. I've seen it a few times and normally it works just fine. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.Dad's had the gun for years and I've never seen it like this either.
I have seen replacement bolts sold without the safety on them at all so it could just be that this is a known problem and people get sick of fooling with them, I don't know.Anyway if no one suggests anything better I'll try to do the best I can and report back. Most of the advice I see on gun forums about this model is "Don't buy them, they're garbage" so it's not really helpful. I mean it doesn't move at all, it feels like the safety is just jammed or something.I had thought about just putting it into a vise and brute forcing it but I don't want to fuck it up if it's not already fucked up. I would say it's broken too but it's just so firm it's hard to believe it's twisted around wrong.
